A Passion For Process.
Kerry Quade is a multi-media artist in Girdwood, Alaska.
Kerry attended Massachusetts College of Art where she studied Studio for Interrelated Media under Donald Burgy and Dana Moser. Discovering new mediums and expanding her skills in foundry and photography, through Haystack Mountain School of Arts and Crafts, she subsequently joined the Iron Guild, a group of Mass Art alum using the foundry process for performance. The Iron Guild, which includes founding members Josh and Lauren Dow of the Green Foundry, Laurie Carman, Nathan Cantrell, Aaron Legg, Dave Cole, and Glen Campbell of Campbell Plaster & Iron as well as other notable participating members, collaborate in creating theatrical performances using molten metal for spectacle.
Exploring and working with new materials & mediums Kerry has developed a passion for experimentation and process while discovering it is the process that she enjoys more often than the end result.
By day you can find her planning & designing environments to implement unique décor concepts for events both near and far.
Kerry Quade’s diverse resume and skill set is enhanced by her adventurous spirit and lifestyle. kQ leads a team of artists in creating site specific installations, public space activations, and unique event experiences coast to coast & beyond!
A recent graduate of Alaska Pacific University, Kerry has settled in Girdwood. Putting down some roots after roaming is exciting!
